Stories for the love of earth

November 23, 2017 By Miki Dedijer

We need children who love the earth unconditionally.

Let the stories you tell your small one seed the ecology of her imagination.

Go far beyond the arid fields sown with concepts, statistics, theories, information and labels about the natural world.

Harness your heart to fairy-tales and myths, fables and anecdotes and journey with your child into the wilderness of her fantasies and the depths of her unconscious.

Fold the roly-poly, the deer mouse, the house fly or the swift into the softness of her dreams.

Help the land come to life and grow taproots into the depths of her soul.
